Are you a “Champion by Choice” student-athlete? Then you know than it’s more than just wins and losses or personal accomplishments – it requires making the choice to uphold the values of sportsmanship.

The Scholastic Sportsmanship Foundation (SSF) honors and awards scholarships to student-athletes for integrity and ethical behavior both on and off the playing field.

SSF Member Benefits:

As an SSF member, you are a positive role-model for your team and school and have access to extraordinary, member-only opportunities – SSF scholarships, official sportsmanship letter-patch, personalized SSF membership certificate, card, and the Sportsmanship Journal. Additionally, at SSF special events, you will have access to positive role model college and professional athletes and coaches and leadership development training.

SSF members also have the opportunity to nominate their coach for the Art Baker Fellowship Award, the Foundation’s highest award given to positive role-model coaches.

SSF Standards:

SSF candidates are student-athletes, managers, trainers, or assistants (grade 9 – 12) who maintain a 2.5 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale and who demonstrate sportsmanship on and off the field of play. Member candidates must agree to uphold and conduct themselves in accordance with the SSF Athlete’s Code of Honor.
